The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives

Math and assistive technology is a great pair, supporting an individual to learn math content in a variety of different learning and teaching approaches. Within the website, the National Library of Virtual Manipulatives, I chose to explore within the Algebra content. The interactive activities that were geared towards Algebra were explanatory and detailed, giving both words and pictures during the tutorial. A manipulative that was used throughout all grade levels when instructing algebra was puzzles, patterns, and tiles. As a teacher, I felt this was a great resource to be integrated within classroom learning. It gives a student a chance to put down the pencil and paper, and have fun while improving in math skills. This is a great resource to use during classroom learning centers.
