Questions for selecting Educational Applications….

Every piece of assistive technology, whether referring to a device, application, and resource, serves a different purpose. There is not a universal AT that serves and benefits to all learners. As previously discussed in earlier blog posts, when choosing an educational application or device, it is critical to observe the individual and his or her strengths, weaknesses, and needs. Three key questions that should be considered when selecting education applications should include:
1.     What is the intended outcome when utilizing an educational application?
2.      Is the application able to fulfill the desired purpose?
3.     Does the application enhance the student’s performance more than the traditional classroom activities?

  1. Hey Liz,
I agree that it is critical to observe the individual student's weakness and strengths and needs in order to pair them to an educational application or device. Your key questions help with this endeavor. Thanks for a great post!
