There
are many different types of learning styles found within a classroom, some
students needing different adaptations than others. As theories continue to
evolve, and more research is conducted, educational strategies and techniques
are becoming more appropriate and beneficial towards specific learners. One precise
intervention that is becoming more apparent within a classroom is assisted
technology. My main goal through my graduate level studies is to grow as a
professional. As I travel through a journey of growth, I am conducting a blog
that will express my studies regarding assisted technology, focusing on Universal
Design for Learning.

A little bit about me...
My
name is Lizz. I am a 24 year-old graduate student, enrolled in my second
semester working towards a Master Degree. I am currently employed as an aid in
an Autistic Support classroom, and aspire to be a Special Education lead
teacher. I am specializing in Special Education for my post-graduate courses,
with a concentration of Elementary Education as an undergraduate. Throughout
this blog, the common focus will be assistive technology. As a professional
seeking growth, I continuously strive to participate in a personal educational
journey, and commit myself intellectually to my chosen occupation. Educational
philosophies are constantly evolving, self-consciously holding myself
accountable to be a dedicated individual towards professional development.
